- - 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- - 1/4 cup brown sugar
- - 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- - 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
- - 1/4 teaspoon salt
- - 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- - 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- For the Caramel Sauce:
- - 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- - 1/2 cup heavy cream
- - 3/4 cup brown sugar
- - 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- For the Egg Wash:
- - 1 egg
- - 1 tablespoon milk
- Prepare the Pie Crust:
- In a food processor or mixing bowl, combine flour, salt, and sugar.
- Add cold butter cubes and pulse (or cut in with a pastry cutter) until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Slowly add ice water, mixing until the dough just comes together.
- Divide into two disks, wrap in plastic, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Make the Caramel Sauce:
