For the Chicken & Broccoli:
- 2 boneless skinless chicken breasts (sliced into thin strips)
- 3 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or sesame oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder or 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ginger powder or 1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
For the Sauce:
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce optional
- 1 tablespoon honey or brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water for thickening
- ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes optional for spice
Prep the Ingredients:
Cut chicken into thin strips and season with salt and pepper.
Wash and chop broccoli into bite-sized florets.
In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, honey, rice vinegar, and cornstarch slurry.
Cook the Chicken:
Heat 1 tablespoon oil in a large pan or wok over medium-high heat.
Add chicken strips and cook for 4-5 minutes until golden brown.
Remove chicken from the pan and set aside.
Cook the Broccoli:
In the same pan, add 1 tablespoon oil and broccoli florets.
Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until slightly tender but still crisp.
Add garlic and ginger and cook for another 30 seconds.
Combine & Sauce:
Return chicken to the pan with broccoli.
Pour in the prepared sauce and stir well.
Cook for 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat everything evenly.
Serve & Enjoy:
Serve hot over steamed rice, noodles, or quinoa.
Garnish with sesame seeds or green onions (optional).
