Ingredients
  

For the Casserole:

  • 1 can 8 ounces crescent roll dough
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage pork or turkey, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 6 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Optional Add-Ins:

  • 1/2 cup diced bell peppers red, green, or yellow
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes for spice

Instructions
 

Prepare the Baking Dish:

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish with cooking spray.

Layer the Crescent Rolls:

  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and press it evenly into the bottom of the baking dish, sealing the perforations to create a solid crust.

Add the Sausage and Cheese:

  • Evenly spread the cooked and crumbled sausage over the dough. Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.

Prepare the Egg Mixture:

  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. If using optional add-ins like bell peppers or green onions, mix them in.

Pour the Egg Mixture:

  • Pour the egg mixture evenly over the sausage and cheese layers.

Bake:

  • Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the eggs are set and the crescent roll crust is golden brown.

Cool and Serve:

  • Let the casserole cool for 5 minutes before slicing into squares. Serve warm.
