- - 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
- - 1 large egg
- - 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- - 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- - 1 teaspoon onion powder
- - 1/2 teaspoon salt
- - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- - 1 tablespoon olive oil for frying
- For the Mushroom Gravy:
- - 2 tablespoons butter
- - 1 small onion sliced
- - 8 oz mushrooms sliced
- - 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- - 2 cups beef broth
- - 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- - 1/2 teaspoon salt
- - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- - 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme optional
- Prepare the Hamburger Steaks:
- In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Shape the mixture into 4 equal-sized patties.
