- For the Salmon:
- - 4 salmon fillets 6 oz each
- - 1 tablespoon olive oil
- - 1 teaspoon paprika
- - 1/2 teaspoon salt
- - 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- - 1/2 teaspoon lemon zest
- For the Shrimp:
- - 1/2 lb large shrimp peeled and deveined
- - 1 tablespoon butter
- - 1 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning or seafood seasoning
- - 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- - 1/2 teaspoon salt
- - 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- For the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- - 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
- - 4 cloves garlic minced
- - 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes optional
- - 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
- - 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
- Prepare the Salmon:
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Pat salmon fillets dry and season with olive oil, paprika, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and lemon zest.
- Place salmon on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until cooked through.
- Cook the Shrimp:
- While the salmon is baking, heat butter in a pan over medium-high heat.
- Add shrimp and season with Old Bay, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper.
- Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until shrimp are pink and opaque. Remove from pan.
- Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add red pepper flakes (if using) and lemon juice. Stir well.
- Return cooked shrimp to the pan and toss to coat in the sauce.
- Assemble & Serve:
- Place baked salmon on plates and top with garlic butter shrimp.
- Drizzle extra sauce over the dish and garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve with steamed vegetables, rice, or mashed potatoes.
